LeBron James calls talk he’d leave Cavaliers ‘outlandish’

LeBron James sounded as if he were telling Dwyane Wade they’d team back up, but LeBron promptly shot down the idea his comments had anything to do with basketball.

That doesn’t completely close the door on LeBron leaving the Cavaliers. That response covered just LeBron returning to the Heat (or Wade signing with with Cleveland).

What about the report LeBron would make the best business option, even that meant leaving the Cavaliers? That wasn’t tied to Wade at all.

LeBron, via Joe Vardon of Northeast Ohio Media Group:

“I’m here to build, build something great in the present and the future, and that’s the reason I’m back,” James said, prior to the Cavaliers’ 96-80 home loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the second straight game he’s missed because of a sore left knee.
